What a score means

Goodkeep's scores are our assessment of the published animal welfare standards that a product's certification requires, compared with typical conventional practice. They are opinions based on public documents, not audits of any farm, company or product, and not statements by the certifiers. A product scored from its brand may differ from the package in your hand. Always check the package. How scores work.

No affiliation

Certification names such as Certified Humane, Animal Welfare Approved, Global Animal Partnership, USDA Organic and American Humane Certified, and all brand names, belong to their owners. Goodkeep isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

Product data

Product information comes partly from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License. It may be incomplete or wrong.

Your contributions

When you read a package's labels or send a report, you confirm it reflects what you saw. Don't submit false information or try to manipulate scores. We may remove contributions and limit access to protect the service.

No warranty

Goodkeep is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions made using the app or for indirect or consequential damages.
