How are scores calculated?

Each certification's published standard is scored on six factors: outdoor access (counts most), housing and space, painful procedures, care of young animals, audit rigor, and measured welfare outcomes. A product gets the score of the strongest certification we can verify for it. Products with no welfare certification are scored as typical conventional farming. Every factor in the app links to the section of the standard it comes from.

Why does a product say "based on the brand"?

Certifiers list brands and product lines, not barcodes. When we only know the brand is certified, we say so. Tap "Check the package" and point your camera at the seals to score that exact package; it also helps everyone else.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Profile and tap Delete Account. See the privacy policy.
